FYI, I am a bit of a loner who loves (and lives) to travel. I am in no way a trendy influencer staring off into the distance in my fedora, just a lover of the natural world. These are my stories of stretching my limits and seeing the world, while balancing being an introvert with a thrill-seeking wild side.
Hey everyone! I am having an artist reception this Sunday (Oct. 22nd) at Nighthawks Diner and Bar. There will be creepy art, awesome drinks and apps, prints for sale, and cool people. Come down and see me!
Last night was such a great show! There were so many great artists and I was happy to learn from them. If, by chance, the person who was looking to buy my Dragon Eel painting reads this, hit me up! Can’t wait to show again.

I’m very excited to be showing tomorrow at the Lasting Impressions Arts and Fashion show Sunday. The show runs from 5:00pm-10:00pm, April 30th. It will be an awesome mix of runway, photography, and my ridiculous creepers in the Casablanca Room. There will be amazing food, wine, and entertainment. Check out the link for more information.
For some reason, I’ve always been interested in greeting cards. I love to make them. While I’ve always made them by hand, I’ve started making them in Illustrator. I like the idea of making them somewhat ambiguous, while still being cute and ridiculous.
So it’s been a while since I’ve been on here. I’ve been out of the country for a while and am happy to be back into the swing of things. Australia was amazing. I learned to dive. I saw the jungle, the Outback, and every disgusting bug you can imagine. It was great! Truly, life-changing. Now that I’m back, I am working on a new art series. It’s not what I thought would come out of Australia, but it’s very personal. It will be inspired by graphic novels and self-discovery. I’m pretty excited. In the meantime, here are a few warm weather captures.
With the summer nearly 2/3 over, I’ve been reflecting on how beautiful it has been. I’ve been able to go for bike rides almost every day. I’m also taking the time to learn HTML on my own. It’s been pretty cool so far. I had a great recommendation from an associate to try “codeacademy.com”, and it’s fantastic. So far I’ve learned the basics and am on to CSS and the visual side of coding. Hopefully summer is going well for everyone else!
I had the privilege of being able to see RuPaul’s Drag Race Battle of the All-Stars last night and it was incredible. Michelle Visage gave an incredibly moving dedication in the beginning of the show to the victims of the shooting in Orlando. A few of the performers knew many people that were killed and it was an incredible moment of strength in the face of tragedy that this wonderful group of drag queens said they would not be silenced by fear. They then sang and danced their hearts out in dedication to the victims. The performances were amazing and I was living for taking pictures of it.
So, I just graduated and have been able to do something that I haven’t done in quite a while……… paint! What better painting to get me back in the game with than the one that could win me a fishing trip with Jeremy Wade? So I did and here it is. Fingers crossed!
